Various Steps For Hair Straightening Using Flat Iron
Start by shampooing and conditioning your hair. Remember to add a leave in protective conditioner. This gives the hair a moisturized effect and makes it soft. In the case of curly hair, don"t use any styling products but just wrap it in the rollers. Allow it to dry in a hooded dryer and air dry it overnight to fully dry it. Please take special care to never use thermal styling on damp hair; as it severely damages these tools.Another important thing to note is that applying water to the curly hair that have been just straightened can prove to be disastrous; as it can cause the curls to come back and becomes very curly. To compare this, we can straighten half of the hair; and for that divide at the centre and brush the hair thoroughly. Now divide the hair into sections like panels which are narrower than the length of the iron"s plates.
2. Styling Process
Begin with the bottom part by adding a small amount of hair spray and dry them. Then control the temperature settings in accordance to nature of the hair. For testing the temperature, press a moistened piece of tissue paper between the plates for a few minutes. A little amount of steam is the normal manner. But if there is any smoking or scorching, then the temperature setting should be lowered to avoid hair burning. Then straighten each segment and allow it to cool. After it is completely cooled, comb the hair to separate and smoothen it.
Now straighten the next section similar to the previous one from bottom to top and also in the middle part. To remove the gaps between the previous sections, make an extra pass and close them all. Here the difference is very much visible; the curly mess has given way to silky smooth shining glorious hair! And that is the magical effect of flat irons.
3. Finishing
After the whole procedure, you can clearly see the marked finish by the flat irons.
Note: The above procedure is very helpful to up-do style on curly hair, as the hair will efficiently respond and give the desired result.
