Eye liner, window frame to the soul
ÂThe correct application of eye liner is fundamental for achieving a high standard of eye makeup. And, of course, the eyes themselves and the area around them are the most outstanding of all facial features and therefore should be the area you take most time and care when applying makeup to.
Our eyes naturally draw attention to them. Not without justification the eyes are considered to be "the windows to the soul", you can learn a lot by looking into someone"s eyes. If the eyes are the windows to the soul that makes eyeliner the window frame to the soul. Learning make good use of eye liner opens up possibilities for creating different attractive looks. Let us give you some eye make up tips on how to do it right.
Â
You should apply eyeliner directly after eye shadow. In order to steady your hand lean you elbow on your makeup counter / table top / chest drawers top or, at least against your thigh.
Â
Make sure your eye liner pencil is sharp. If using liquid eye liner make sure it is fresh.
Hold eye liner application device (pencil or liquid eye liner applicator) as if holding a pen. Turn your hand so that the tip of the applicator / pencil is parallel to the eyelids.
Â
Apply eyeliner along just above the upper eyelid"s lashes close to the eye lash line. At first stop short of where last eye lashes grow. Drawing a line too far towards the corner of the eyes may look funny. You can always experiment with lengthening the line and get to know what works for you.
Â
Once finished applying liner make sure you smudge it a little using either the foam rubber at the back end of the eye liner pencil (so thatð€™s what its for) or a Q-tip.
This will soften out harsher parts of the line drawn.
Â
After you are finished with the eyeliner itself gently run a coat of dark eye shadow over it (use a sharp brush for necessary exactness). This will soften the frame you created for your eyes and is most necessary when using a liquid liner.
Â
A good tip for making using eye liner pencils easier is to heat their tip a little just before using them. This will soften the tip and make smearing it easier, you can use a blow dryer or other such heat sources.
Â
Finally remember that liners come in different shades of black, blue, green etc. experiment with these colors, as well as with drawing different shapes and looks to learn what works best for you for different occasions.
Â
Try it out, you will be giving killer looks in no time.
